one pin

Is one 7mm pin on handle in fulltang enough? Handle is 12 cm. long, it's for camp/survival purpouses. Thanks

I would do two pins. With one pin a shearing blow to the handle could break the glue joints and allow the scales to rotate on the single pin. Two pins will give extra support and not allow the joint from shearing.
