sanding the fuller

I am pretty sure the groove cut down the middle of the blade is called a fuller. I have a 6 inch fuller down the middle of the latest dagger I am in the process of making. Now that I have the fuller milled out how do you go about sanding the bottom of the fuller so it looks as clean as the rest of the blade?
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Steve

At least you have a mill, I've been scraping mine in...

I've tried sandpaper wrapped around a round backing with good results, but very time consuming. An option I'm looking into is EDM stones, I feel these might be a better solution, the next time I do a fuller I'm planning on trying them. Depending on how wide the fuller is, a small wheel might be a good option.

Fullers were originally done when hot forging you know.
For doing the finish on them I would suggest using a smaller diameter sanding drum or cone on a rotary tool

Having cleaned up a few old knives with fullers, this worked for me. Used a smith or DMT diamond stone for initial sandingg then to smoother wasihta stone then round hard noveculite. then finer sndpaper with round backing.

EDM stones are the way to go on fullers. Get the friable (breaks down easily) type at Delta Tool and polishing supply http://deltasupplies.com/.
Good Luck
