Options on a damascus bolster

Working on this one and etched it the other day. This is 1075/Ni from Devin Thomas. I like the gray contrast to nickel yet I've been pondering applying some cold blue. Thoughts or other possibilities?

If you're looking for more "pop", the best way I can think of is to remove the bolsters, make sure they are etched to a depth where you can feel the topography with a finger tip....... then apply a coat of gloss black baking lacquer...... bake on, then using a hard sanding stick, LIGHTLY sand off the black off the highs in the topography. This gives a brilliant contrast..... the black will remain in the lows of the topography, and the highs will be bright silver.

It's far more time/effort then cold blue, but it's also a far better result.
