I bought a Radiusmaster about 2 1/2 years ago.

I have only one problem with it, the switch stuffed up and would not turn off. I sent them a email on Sunday night they phoned me on Monday and Tuesday it was at my home (express post). Obviously because they are Australian the switch came back quickly.

It is an Australian made grinder see

The accessories - you need the stand (to rotate the machine to the horizontal plane), and the other 2 platens are invaluable. I have little room so the base board are very handy.

It is a very, very versatile machine.

Only problems
Some people say if you have big hands you might have problems with the hollow grinding. But you just go to the opposite side of the machine - see the photo
http://www.radiusmaster.com.au/knifemakers.htm
(In the middle photo) just go to the other side of the machine for the other side grind.

The only other thing some people say is it is not using 2 x 48 belts. You cannot get 2 x 72 belts in Australia unless you get them made. There are a few stores around where I live who hold 2 x 48.

I have no experience with the Radius Master, but from what I can see on their website, this is a single speed machine. When making knives, being able to slow the belt down either by step pulleys or by variable speed motor sure comes in handy.
