multiple temperings..

I am using 1094 steel....I temper 3 times, 2 hours each (6 hrs in total).
My question is this,.........After the first tempering the steel is straw colored.......before I do the next tempering session, am I supposed to clean it to bright metal again?

I see no need to as long as you are certain your temperatures are correct.
