ironwood bear dagger

This was a custom order from a gentleman who wanted a dagger to carry when he went bow hunting in case a bear attacked. The blade is 440C with a full tapered tang, the guard is also 440C and the handle is ironwood with red liners. Overall length is 12". All feedback greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Steve

Stephen...I really do like the daggar, but I have to wonder if the guy ever heard of firearms? Fending off a mad or wounded bear with a knife is not my idea of a good time.

Ed
The customer is Canadian which severely restricts the firearm options.

I love the knife you created, but I think that if I was fending off a bear, I might ponder to myself in that moment of leisure..."I should have brought a bigger knife!!"

Great looking knife. I bet it would slip between the ribs easy. I'm not sure, under the circumstances being discussed, if I would remember to use it or not. I think some running shoes would also be a good choice and I know I would remember to use them.

Running shoes and a seriously out of shape hunting partner that is really , really annoying???

Regardless - It's a awesome looking blade that appears to be up to a good scrap if needed!
