Need damascus scraps
I usually provide knife handles and sheats for damascus blades, and occasionally I even get scratched damascus blade in my hands. To re-etch it, I got a standard ferric chloride, but recently I changed to an unknown chemical compound, for which I was told, it works better for damascus steel.
Before I etch first knife, I'd like to try it on any damascus scrap piece of material (any dimensions, any shape) so I'd be grateful if anyone (prefered from Europe for lower shipping costs) have a spare scrap piece that I could have, let me know. (I pay for material and shipping, ofcourse!). |
