CHEAP TO MAKE MULTITOOL

I have two styles, that I have made. The first is a little more expensive, but quick to make. Mine is made using an electric valve grinder, 20.00 from pawn shop. 36 inch flexshaft, 9.95 from HF. Vari- speed controller for ceiling fan, 0.00 have several. you can either bench mount or hang to mount.
The second is made using 3/4 hp router, found at flea mkt. 10.00. Add the flexshaft, with reducing collett, and the vari-speed controller. This style I recommend bench mount.
Both work as good, if not better, than a higher priced Sears or Foredom.

Great idea, Ken. I have a motor and controller I salvaged from a blender that I will have to try this out on.

Well, it's off to the shop and get started on one of them. What size tools will they handle? I'm looking to make something that will handle 1/4" tools. I've got the foot operated speed control that I bought at a yard sale for 50 cents. Thanks for the info.
