friends with cool tools

Thanks to a bud with a plasma table, I now have 43 shapes to heat treat, grind out and handle --- 7' nakiris, 8" utility knives, 9.5" chef's knives and 10" cimeters, all cut from L6 (like) sawmill blades.

Isn't that like cheating?

Just kidding, plasma cutters are very cool and have come a long way in the last 20 years....no more angled kerfs.

Considering I've been cutting out rough profiles with a 4 1/2" angle grinder prior to annealing, then cutting the profiles out with a band saw, after anealing , this is a huge time saver.

Ive got a cnc plasma table myself. About how far are you having to grind back from an edge to get past the decarbonized zone?
