What is the procedure for heat treating A2 steel . T1A for any info on re: this.

Hey there,
When I use A-2 I alway bring my oven up to 1775 f put the foil wrapped blade in and let it soak for about 15-20 minutes and then plate quench. I then temper at 500 f for 2 hours twice. This should give a hardness of 60 and a very stong blade. Hope that helps. __________________ Shane P. Atwood S.P.A.
