Cool Heat Treating A2

What is the procedure for heat treating A2 steel . T1A for any info on re: this.

Some folk quench air-hardening steel knives by pressing between plates. You can find more on plate quenching by using the forum search.

Hey there,
When I use A-2 I alway bring my oven up to 1775 f put the foil wrapped blade in and let it soak for about 15-20 minutes and then plate quench. I then temper at 500 f for 2 hours twice. This should give a hardness of 60 and a very stong blade. Hope that helps.
