Another Gen-2 Flipper

Been messing with this for for about a week, tweaking thins here and there. Took me a couple of days to decide on the exterior scheme, but I finally got it completed yesterday. I'm really starting to like doing the multi-color anodizing.....not if my pea brain could just visualize all the possibilities, I'd have it made!

This one has a blade of CPM154, everything else is 6-4 Titanium. I decided to serrate a portion of this blade....and since it's the first blade I've done this way, it's home will be in my pocket for the next month or so....that way I can see just how it's going to handle/work before offering any for sale. It did a great job while making supper last night, so it might just work out!
The picture is just a quickie that I snapped in the shop, with my shop camera.

Thumbs up Very cool, indeed, Ed!

I like that color combination too. Is the gold filigree also the result of anodizing? If that unit is as smooth to operate as the one you carried around at Jim's hammer-in it ought to be a quick sell.
BTW: what are you going to do with that one that you had at the hammer-in? I think you should discard it (in my direction) !

Those serrations look nice, Ed. Is that from that wheel you had on your big mill? If so, that's a pretty slick deal. Glad to see you're back at it.

Dana:
What I'm finding with these flippers....especially the ones where "loose" bearings are used..is that they require a "break in" period to become as smooth operating as I like them to be. I've had this one in my pocket since yesterday, and it's already starting to "smooth out" a good bit

The colors are all from anodizing....I'm really starting to like "playing" with the anodizer to see what I can come up with.

Jeremy: Yes, the serrations are from that diamond wheel I showed you. I had to build another fixture to hold the blade.....but that's OK.

I like it Ed! That anodizing is really cool. Like you mentioned........all kinds of possibilities.

With you making these serrations now, I wonder how long it will be till someone wants one with the serrations out on the point and the straight edge near the plunge lines.

I am constantly amazed at the great works you guys post.
Would like to see more pics of this one.
(I also like the color combo since I'm a MN Vikings fan)
