Time travel...

Just posted a link to an eBay auction in the "Tool time" forum for an electric motor reversing switch. I was going to jokingly suggest it could be used on a belt grinder. Then it dawned on me....wouldn't that be great! Slip and grind the ricasso too far? No problem! Just reverse the motor and travel back in time to erase the mistake!

If only life were that simple! When I was a kid I was trying to get more horsepower out on my car engine but I had a very limited budget. It was very difficult to come up with ways of adding hp without spending much money. Then, one night, the answer came to me in a dream:

All I had to do was go to the junk yard and accumulate what little horsepower remained in the wrecked engines of several cars and put it all into my engine. Problem solved! I remember how elated I was when I woke up and recalled the dream which still seemed to make sense for about 3 seconds ........
