Lightbulb damascus blank blades

Approx 6" long damascus blank. .125 inch thick (1/8"), the cutting edge is 2 1/4". Heat treated, ready to mount. My testing is Rc 50-55. New made, no problems It has been lightly etched to bring out the color

a carbide bit might do it or torch aneal the tang keep the blade in a bucket of water and heet the tang to cherry red and let air cool wile the blade is in the water it should soften the tang right up then a regular bit should do just fine

I want to make it clear to Ancientarms that I mean no offense. There products and prices seem good.

This question is directed to the experienced knife makers from a beginner.

I am about ready to try finishing a pre-made damascus blade. Therefore inexpensive blades would be in order at my skill level. Ancientarms seems to have some blades of a style I'd like to work on.

1. Does anyone know anything about these blades and their quality?

2. They are hardened. I doubt I have anything to drill holes in them. Suggestions, please.

3. Does anyone recomend these blades or is there a in the US source of inexpensive damascus blades?

Thanks, Bob & Dragon:

I spotted that post, too. Interesting. It seems that the blades are not sharpened. I am reluctant to try drilling them. The seller did offer to drill them, though. Sounds questionable?
