Glad to hear it Scott. We hope all of you can make the meeting. Just let us know if you can but don't let that stop you if you find out late that you can work it into your schedule. We will have plenty of food and knife talk for all.

Demo announcement
Stephan Fowler will demonstrate the forging of pattern welded billets, aka ?Damascus?, at the Winter Guild meeting. He will present the process of forging and stack welding a raw billet to achieve the desired pattern(s). Patterns to be discussed are the Twist, Ladder, Raindrop and the ?W? patterns. This will be the sole demo and it will be conducted under the portico of the shop. Bring your favorite lawn chair and some warm clothes as this demo will take several hours.
Additionally, Donnie McNeely will be attending and will be offering some ?hands on? time for those interested in the craft of knapping. Donnie gave the demo on knapping at the Winter meeting last year. |
