Dear customer I went downtown Orlando and spoke with Randall himself and he gave me the information that it was a 1940s Randall knife with the original seat they authenticated it 100% |

I'm trying to run interference So nobody bids me up on it! lol
But then again, He spoke to Randall and has it verified 100%, so the "provenance" guys who love these "WWII" knives will have a field day! Last edited by Ta2bill; 11-07-2016 at 06:20 PM. |

Well, he took the "WWII" reference off the offering so I guess it is now an OK description. It is an early Bowie, Moore sheath. But what the heck happened? Was this knife and sheath buried for years and then dug up as an artifact? Cut someone with that blade and I guess they would die of tetanus...
At least he isn't claiming it to be "the second Bowie Randall ever made" like some dealers, who then claim that their "second Bowie ever made" statement is misunderstood. Their Bowie was simply re-handled, re-ground, re-bladed and re-sheathed, but you can believe their Bowie was the "second Bowie Randall made" because someone told someone, who sold the knife and told a dealer, who sold it and told the buyer that you can believe them. And at least this one actually has all the hallmarks of an early Bowie... Last edited by Jacknola; 11-08-2016 at 11:07 AM. |

Lol Jack!
Yes he did edit it. I'm sure that I'm not the only person who told him what it was. Too bad it looks like it sat in a 5 gallon bucket out in the chicken coop for 40 years! |
