Smile 20 year anniversary knife

This year in November I will have been making knives for 20 years doesn't seem that long ago that Al Krouse was helping me learn a few things. Later Ruffin Johnson helped me learn to polish, Rendon Griffin has taught me how to cut out a folder getting all the deminsions right so it would work. So here I am and I will be doing something for my 20th anniversary.
I have steel from the USS Texas battleship that was given to me by the manager in 2001 to make a knife for the museum and one for former president George H. W. Bush. This was during the 60th anniversay of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Bushes knife has handle material that was from the deck of the ship he was on in WWII. Anyway back to the 20th.
The knife I am making is from the steel from the USS Texas. I am having damascus made from it and it will be a desk knife. The holder for the knife will be made from prunings off of a 200 year old Pecan Tree located at Washington on the Brazos Historical site. This tree was there at the signing of the Declaration of Independence for Texas in 1836. No telling who learned on this tree, Sam Houston, Davy Crockett all came thru this way at that time. To me there is a little history in this, being from Texas an all. I am making pens for this desk set from this pecan also.
There will be 20 of course the first one going to the USS Texas to raffle to help raise money for them. #2 will go to George H. W. Bush to go with his knife. I will add a picture of the first one later. It will be something different and simple just like me.
All of the others will be for sale.

That sounds fantastic Percy. Any idea on the time line. Not sure I could afford it but I would love one of those knives. I love Texas and Texas history!! Looking forward to seeing what you have in mind and when they are going to be ready.
