Smile Those Darn "Can't make a Knife" Blues!

This is killing me! Haven't touched a knife since returning from the Blade Show! The last two evenings have been idle just because I can't get the machinery I need to dig the footers for the new shop. Gosh this is terrible! I don't know what the heck I'll ever do if I have to slow down one day.............I'm one of those people who has always got to be doing something, and without a shop to work in, it's driving me nuts!
Got notification today that my building has been delayed, and won't be delivered until 26 July (guess that means I won't be at the MKA show this year!) I suppose that right now getting the new shop up has got to take priority........... I'll start snapping pictures as soon as there is something to take pictures of, and will post them on my site. Somebody tell me a good knifemaking story just to nurse me through my "withdrawls!"

Get that rr track anvil down, dig a hole in the back yard. Pour in a bag of charcoal, hook up the shop vac and make one the hard way. Just for old times sake.

I can just guess how much time you will spend living in your shop when it is done. You better spend some of the slack time now w/ Cindy so she can put some in her mental bank for when you make her a "knife widow" again.
As far as driving you crazy - short trip, don't burn much fuel to get there buddy" (big grin).

i like hdn's idea. do the neo-tribal/$50 knife shop gig 'til you get the new digs up and running. you'll appreciate real tools all the more when you can get back to them!

Ed Thats terrible about missing the Montana show. I think you can make it since the building has been delayed. You can always put a cute little sign on your table and walk around like the other big boys without knives. I think I will get a bowie done in time. That new shop sounds great.

Gonna miss ya buddy, Bruce
