Railroad track anvils

I am curious as to how many people here are using an anvil of any sort made of railroad track, I have two and love em, anyone else? One of mine is just a piece of track, I didnt even have it milled down, I use the roundness of the sides for all sorts of things. Who else uses these and what are your thoughts? Maybe post some pictures so we can all get a look at how yours is set up. What else can we do with rusty old track?

I saw that one, very cool, very well done, neither of mine are that milled and shaped but they get the job done. I have a new 150lb'er comin this week from the auction house (still have to pick it up) so I will most likely use the horn etc on that one and keep the track anvils I have as they are but I am thinkin about getting another piece of track and havin it milled down at the local machine shop here like that one that was posted up on tool time.

Wink

I've got 3 or 4 here made from mine rail. 4-5 inches tall and anywhere from1 1/2 to 2 inches wide. Work well for peening and other light duty pounding.
Can't ever have too many anvils, eh?
