New to the forum, pretty new to knife making

Hi all, new here been playing around with blade making for a little while, but just finished my first real solid knife to totally complete status. HT, handle finish, edge, and sheath. its made from a piece of truck leaf spring found laying in the road, and I made some micarta from some old jeans for the handle. let me know what you think.

This is one of my firsts to be complete, grind,ht,handle,finish and sheath.

blade=leafspring (birchwood casey plum brown for finish)
handle material=homemade denim micarta stainless corby pins(finished with tru-oil)
sheath=kydex

I can't really recommend using steel that you find laying around but looks to me like you made the best of it. Interesting design, no doubt. Looks like you tackled Kydex successfully too. You have potential ...

Dan,

You had two threads going with identical pictures and similar comments so I merged them together into this thread. I'm guessing you did that because you couldn't see something you posted - that happens sometimes when you're still new. Things will straighten out and start working right after a brief probation period ...
