Wool liner
I was thinking about adding a wool liner on the inside of my leather sheaths. I read somewhere that this is what was done on scabbards back in the day. You keep the wool a little oiled too (not so much it soaks through to the leather). I always hear that the leather can act on the steel and corrode it, even if it takes a long time, and I was hoping to mitigate that. What do you experts think?

Gives a disticntive pattern to the surface or the steel if the least bit of moisture gets in the sheath. Kind of micro swirly.
