Well, I've made a few straight razors...forged blades, hollow ground blades, buffalo horn handles and deer antler with damascus on the other. Krause Publications has a price guide on antique razors. I don't know if this helps or not...good luck with your project

Not aware of a how-to type book. There are a good variety regarding collecting that show various patterns and like. I've got a couple tucked away somewhere. Perhaps Amazon.
I've done a few and I currently have a Daryl Meir damascus bladed one sitting in my to-finish drawer. These have been more of a curosity piece than sellers. It does bring folks up to the table for discussion. ![]() ![]() __________________ Mike ![]() ![]() |

You should be able to start with friction folder construction a technique, that?s what it basically is. You might want to ask over in the folder forums.

I dont know about making them but as far as guides go here is a price guide fo sorts but like most collectibles its very subjective.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/157...531338?ie=UTF8 I never tried to make one but they have been fun to collect. I know there are other books out there too as far as values go. Ross |
