another friction folder
This one has a similar blade style to one of the teeny tiny ones I made but this one is about 5.5" open. Forged 1095, unidentified antler, leather thong w/ antler button, brass pin, stainless steel insert (around pin in between antler to prevent deterioration of the pin over time) brass lines thong hole, fileworked thumbrest. Only about 2% stock removal on this one (cleanup, final blade edge etc)

Cool looking folders JL, can't tell from the image, is the blade pointy on the end?

Yea Gene, it be pointy on da end, I'm not really doin much finish work on these, I forge to shape and sometimes that shape comes out on its own, this one did, threw a few little embelishments along the top of the blade and presto.

Interesting shape to the blade. Looks good. You're doing all right with these folders. Keep it up, Bro.
