What would you like to know about Ti? I have done some reaserch on Ti. The ore is found in a lot of places if I remember correctly it's the 5th most abundent on the surface of the planet. difficult to smelt without special equipment. Chemical process like aluminium and has to be in a vacuum or oxygen free. That help or are looking for something else?

I don't think you can convert the ore into useable bar stock. It takes a furnace filled with a inert gas like Argon to smelt titanium and there is a chemical process that the ore has to go through too.

I pound on Ti, but I get scrap pieces off the internet. oh and stay away from 6Al 4V Ti as it gives of gasses when at forging temp.s that will make you sick. Only pound on CP chemically pure titanium.
