Thumbs up New button lock folder

I've just finished a new button lock.

The red linen micarta scales are impossible for me to photograph correctly. They are made from an old, old, piece of linen micarta I found in the odds and ends drawer. The scales look like wine colored wood.

3 1/2" 154CM blade is between 1/8" and 5/32" thick.

Opens effortlessly, closes easily.

Ti liners are anodized bright gold color, pocket clip is anodized bright blue.

Closed length is 4 5/8"

This one goes on the "Available Knives" page of my website as soon as I get a few better quality photos.

Thanks, Frank. I didn't intend it to be lovely, but it sure is functional!

Don, very nice pictures showing your good work. Thanks for showing the mechanics of the knife along with the finished product. Do you think that a liner lock knife would work with that kind of back spring as an assisted opener? Would a ball detent hold the blade closed until fliped open? Again thanks for showing your work.

Thanks, Whiskers.

No, I don't believe a leaf spring would work with a liner lock. A ball detent wouldn't work either in my opinion..

Thank you, Curtis.

It'll take awhile for the book. I'll need to make another and take pictures of everything I do.

In the meantime, I want to make another flipper. It's nice to not take orders any more. Now I can make anything I want whenever my old body feels like it.

Don
Thanks for sharing this one. I am in the process of making one of these but messed up the tolerances on the stud. I will post pictures when it is done. Looks good and really helps with the build.
Thanks
Steve
