First Slip joint

well it may not be in the same arena as the pros, but its MINE!! I cant hardly believe I got it done this weekend.

looking at it I see I need to work on some things. I need to leave more pin when it comes time to peen. two of the three are fine, but the main pivot pin is a little short and shows a faint line around it. hand sanded the blade to 600... next time it will be 800.

I also learned you have to pay closer attention to where the rest of the knife is. I was dressing off the pins and just nicked the darn polished micarta scale... I could have just stabbed myself in the head for doing something so dumb that late in the game.

but overall I'm a happy camper, I have a fine first folder.

Erik,

That's a very fine first effort! Personally, I find liner locks easier to do than slip joints but you make it look soooo good! Kepp it up....

Very nice work Erik. I think you should be very happy with that as your first one.
