HF surface grinder

Hi Ed. My HF surface grinder is due in this week. Bertie in Africa is making up the belt wheels for me. Should be up and going shortly Appreciate the help and info you've provided!

ALRIGHT! New toys are always a good thing. Glad we could be of some help. Once you get the machine put together, post up some pics if you can. One thought......remember to level your chuck once you get everything set up. this can be done in two steps....... 1. Place a file on the mag chuck and turn on the machine without a belt. Just skim the wheel over the file enough to ensure the wheel is true. 2. Put a fine grit belt on the machine and lighly skim the mag chuck to ensure that it's true with the contact wheel. I failed to do this on my machine, and was all upset becasue the thing wasn't grinding level.............it was just my ignorance and lack of thought that was to blame.
