Question Electro Etcher Voltage? - 12 or 24

Hello Folks,

I am making an electro etcher. Should I make it a 12 or 24 volt unit and why. Also how many amps should the transformer be capable of handling. Thanks in advance

The standard Etch-O-Matic uses 12v AC and 6V DC (you need both). Not sure about the wattage but its modest, less than 2A I think. Some etchers do use 24v AC and 12V DC and higher wattage but it isn't necessary for the type of marking we do ...
