Blaze belts

Has anyone tried any of the Blaze belts recently? Just wondering if the black stuff is still an issue with them.

I've not used them in a while.....between the black gunk, and the sky high price, I've been using other brands.

Anybody else used any lately?

To be honest I like the Norton Norzon Plus Zirconia belts, they're one of the blue belts. They are considerably cheaper and I think that they cut faster and last longer. You might want to give them a try or look at something else. The Blaze may have been the top of the line once but I think that they have been surpassed.

Not to answer for Ed, but I believe he uses Deerfos brand belts. I used them at his place this last summer and after I went home I ordered myself some from Steve Kelly (you can find them on his website). I still had some Blaze ones that I'd bought earlier in the year and figured I'd use them up first and happened to notice that gunk on my glass platen the other day. Maybe they've made em better since I last bought them...? The Deerfos are a ways cheaper and no gunk, so I plan on continuing with them.
