Roc - Not sure if you meant to post this over here in the Randall Knives "Off Topic" forum but I do recognize the knife. In fact I have another foto of it in my image files that I acquired back in September of 2002, but I can't remember the story:

What gives? This is one of the weirdest eBay situations I've seen - doesn't make any sense but obviously some major BS is going down!

Yes I meant to post here as these guys keep a great eye on Randall scams on ebay I thought it would be a good spot for max exposure. It could be an isolated incident and it seems like the hijacked ebayer keeps an eye on his account.

Pretty common for scammers to hijack an account and put up a stolen knife "pic" as their property. Ideally it would be with an account that is not monitored by the owner, of which there may be hundreds of thousands. Get in and out quick before they are noticed. I am sure the Randall police have seen this and may have more info on how it works. Our police department set up a special service to deal with the christmas xbox ebay scams this past holiday.

As of this morning, I see that some poor eBayer in the Netherlands did have his eBay account hijacked. However, he caught it in time and his listing title now says:

PLEASE DO NOT BID!!! THIS ITEM IS NOT FOR SALE!!!
SOMEONE USED MY EBAY ACCOUNT FOR SELLING HIS ITEMS !!!!

and in his description he says:

DEAR EBAYER, DON'T BID ON THIS ITEM. SOMEONE USED MY EBAYACCOUNT FOR SELLING HIS GOODS.

NO BIDDING PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!

HOPE EBAY WILL WITHDRAWN THIS ACTION SOON!!!!!

One really has to ignore those fake emails that appear to be from eBay, asking for all your personal information and password. If you do get one just forward it with full headers to spoof@ebay.com and it will be looked after.
