Just a quick questiom
I have a question about the legality of a knife I recently purchased.
http://turkeyknives.com/product_deta...BBK003&pid=342 I am a 19 year old. Would it be legal for me to carry this knife, if it was in open view? |

You need to look up your state laws regarding knives and hand-weapons.

Yes, it's legal to carry an assisted knife in Georgia.

Your link pulled up multiple knives, which one was in question?
If it was one of the trench knives I would like to point out something that I kinda learned the hard way. In some areas the trench knife can be considered a set of Brass Knuckles, regardless of what they are made of, and that can be retricted by some state and local laws With any knife make sure the overall length and blade length fall into local legal guide lines. Alex, can tell you about the GA law, but since I wasnt sure which knife you purchased, I just wanted to bring the handle design of the trench knife to your attention. Welcome to the room. Jeff |

What's the difference in getting hit with brass knuckles or drunk on gin? ...the cost?
Hey, I looked again and a different knife was coming up. I was referring to a simple assisted folder, "not" a set of brass knuckles. Don't carry brass knuckles in Georgia! __________________ Alex Whetsell [======]~~~~~~~> Atlantavirtual.com Atlanta NOC |

That's a definite on the knucks. They even gave me a rash about one of my period knives - Confederate "D" guard bowie. I'm just lucky it was in "my" county and I know people. (I'd been teaching the officer's boss's boss's son to forge blades.) Best to kep it covered until you get where you're going.
Jeff, go light on my little brother, he never could spell. __________________ Carl Rechsteiner, Bladesmith Georgia Custom Knifemakers Guild, Charter Member Knifemakers Guild, voting member Registered Master Artist - GA Council for the Arts C Rex Custom Knives Blade Show Table 6-H |
