My Latest Creation
Hi guys, this is a knife I made for a friend, he is the guy who gave me the wood for the scales.
The steel is Bohler N690 Stainless, with wild olive scales and brass pins. __________________ Making a dream come true in Sunny South Africa. |

I like the blade, and over all it looks well made. The handle shape? A tad boring, resembling a broom stick. Explore a little to get a better flow, something more for the eye.

Looks good. Handle shape may be a little plain, but if he likes it then that's what matters. A little more shape to it may provide better grip allowing it to be handled better and more comfortably. Just my 2 cents.

Have any other views of the handle? Maybe we're not seeing it as you see it.
Is a little "plain looking" in relation to the quality of the blade and the handle material. However if it is what the customer wanted then it is fine.....they are always right. __________________ Carl Rechsteiner, Bladesmith Georgia Custom Knifemakers Guild, Charter Member Knifemakers Guild, voting member Registered Master Artist - GA Council for the Arts C Rex Custom Knives Blade Show Table 6-H |

Thanks for the comments guys, the handle is a bit boring but the customer loves it. It is made to be used hard, The customer is a professional hunter so it should see some good use this next hunting season.

That skinner style blade should prove very useful for hunting applications. I like that blade shape. Not only pleasing to the eye but THE blade for skinning game.
