I'm BAAACK!! Wit' Somethin' Diff'rnty fer me
I'm Baaack!! Like a bad penny I return..THIS time with something a bit different than I usually make.
11" long 1 3/4" wide "Bowie" with a deeply forged in fuller..in 1095 Electrite and L6 steels in my "Solar Storm" pattern with forged phosphor bronze guard and pommel plate. A rather nice piece of Red Deer antler for the grip and it is 17" overall. This is a Big Guy and feels great in the hand..actually feels sorta wicked and very FAST and responsive if ya ask me. The fuller was a real bugger to do as it was curved to match the blade but my fly press did a great job on that. Gotta love that machine...so nice as you can actually feel the steel move while you smoosh it.. All in all..this turned out OK..Made this as an example for book IV.. So what ya all think??
