New To this forum, first post

Afternoon all,

Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Chad Hill, I'm a knife maker located in Beaver Falls, PA. I began making in 2010 and have loved every minute of it. There have been lots of lessons learned and challenges along the way and no doubt many more to come! I have been fortunate to have had help along the way from people like you on other forums. I just recently discovered this forum and am looking forward to learning and interacting with you all. Currently knife making is how I make a living and with your sharing of knowledge and support, I would be blessed to continue to do so. I'm glad to be here and thank you for having me!

Hi Chad. I have seen some of your work. You do a great job. Did Carlos have anything to do with the name of your knives? I just thought of him when I saw the White Feather Knives.

Thanks guys! I do have a website in need of some updating with newer work. Just got my sig set up and it is linked in there. My Facebook page is also linked which has all of my newest works.

Carlos Hathcock is the inspiration behind White Feather Blades. I wanted to use a name that reflected the type of tools I try to make. Tough, never quit, dedicated, able to count your life on. Being a former Marine and about half Cherokee, it seemed fitting. I hesitated to use it for a long time because I didn't want anyone to think I was trying to steal his legacy but decided to go with it in the hopes that I can help his story and so many others like his live on. When someone sees the name White Feather, they either know or hopefully be inspired to find out.

Thanks again for the welcome!

Welcome to the forum. I would say 'White Feather' would be taken as tribute by anyone that knows of Carlos Hathcock. He lived an amazing life.

I have to say that is quite an awesome name for a knife maker. A bit jealous. Welcome.
