Rotary Table~What have you used it for?

I've been learning to use the HF Mini Mill for the last month and I could not be more pleased with this tool. Now I'm wondering what types of knife making tasks could a rotary table be put to?

I'm considering purchasing the SEIG 4" table with dividing plates and tailstock. Is anyone familiar with this paticular Rotary Table? How do you like it?

Thanks
TIM

Hello Tim,
I made my rotory table.
Don't know about the one you mentioned.
I use mine for a number of things, machining the rounds on the back of folder blades, cutting 1/2 round grooves in liners for my auto springs to travel in, tool making,ect... It is an added luxury to machine in a round instead of two demensionally only. Your imagination is your only limit. Email if you need help.
Be blessed,

Rotary Table

Thanks for the input GENO. I imagine it will be like all the other metal working tools I've added to my shop ,I'll learn by getting out there and putting it to work. Then while learning how to operate it I'll discover other tasks that it is capable of preforming.
Thanks
Tim .

The only advice I can give is to learn to "feel" the work as it cuts, so you don't keep breaking those small end mills. I get the short ones as to not flex as much. Hope it helps.
