Very nice knife - I particularly like the full length taper and elegant decorative touches.

Very elegant, I especially like the balance that it shows with the deep blade vs taper.
Mark, how close to finished did you forge it, looks close __________________ colin@britishblades.com

I actually didn't forge this one to shape. I like to grind in on damascus so as not to distort the pattern.
I DID actually do a first with this knife. I hollow ground it and then took it to the disc grinder to obtain the flat/tapered grind. I have, in the past, done flat grinds 100% on the disc grinder and it is VERY time consuming/uses a lot of discs....The method I used on this one is MUCH less time/paper consuming. I think that I will stick with it!! Thanks for the feedback All Mark __________________ Custom Knives

Stone Placement
Sorry it took so long to reply about the stone placement...
I originally got all of my info from the "How To" that Don Cowles did on stone placement. Then through some personal e-mails to Don I got additional information that was of great help. The stones are originally ste with a "setting pencil" tool from SIGNITY. But I ruined the tip of mine by being a bit too HARD on it...That said, I have been setting the stones with epoxy until I get a new setting pencil/tip...
