Mick Koval, a very sad loss to knifemaking
I'm very sorry to say that Mick Koval died last week. Gene Shadley posted this note on the Knifemakers' Guild Forums yesterday:
"The Knifemakers Guild would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Judy Koval and Family. The passing of Mick is a great loss to everyone that knew him.I spoke with Judy today and she said that Mick was worn out and tired. She also wanted me to extend her thanks to everyone in thier knifemaking family for all of the encouragement and support." Mick will be sorely missed. It was always great to see him at the shows and he and Judy have bee wonderful suppliers and supporters to the knife industry, forever, it seems. I'll miss him badly. Love and prayers go out to Judy and Troy. The funeral is today, Monday, at 11:00. __________________ ![]() http://www.srjknives.com NRA Endowment Member Knifemakers' Guild Member since 1971 "May you live all the days of your life." - Jonathan Swift Last edited by Steve; 03-21-2005 at 10:33 AM. |

When Bill Miller told me about Mick Sunday afternoon it was as if someone hit me between the eyes with a club. I will miss him and send my sincere condolences to Judy & Troy.
