"THe Great Collections" HAS BEEN PRINTED!!
Hello everyone,
The fourth and last book in my series on modern custom knives HAS BEEN PRINTED! This is "Modern Custom Knives - The Great Collections". There is no doubt about the fact that this fourth volume, exhibiting highlights of some of the major western modern custom knife collections, is first and foremost a tribute to the collectors themselves. It is mainly because of their relentless promoting of this art and the people that create it, that custom knifemaking has reached the level where it is today. It will soon be shipped to Europe and the USA, and will be introduced to the public at the the June 2007 BLADE Show in Atlanta. This is the last volume in this series on modern custom knives. I have alteady begun working on the first volume of a completely new series dealing with the world of custom knifemaking... See everyone there! David Darom (ddd)

Congratulations David...
I know you've dreamed about this, and have worked long and hard to see it come to life. In your own way you have done as much for knifemaking as any great collector. Shipping pre-orders of book #4
Creating a complicated project such as "The Great Collections" involves
dealing with a large number of people, collectors, photographers as well as knifemakers working day and night to try and complete a new masterpiece for a collector who is exhibiting in the book, and get it photographed in time too.... Trying to get everything right for a specific DAY is a terrifying experience which I would not recommend to my friends... Due to stretching of production deadlines ..... The book was only printed in February-March and is shipped by sea. This and dealing with customs at the US port take time so I hope and pray that the books will land in Atlanta a few days before the show. It will be safe to assume that shipping of pre-orders will begin close to the BLADE Show time or right after the show... I think it is worth the short wait....... See you in Atlanta, David (ddd)

I am a great fan of your books which I have(all)and am waiting for my pre orderd one too!!I agree with above oppinions regarding the magnifficent job you have done in behalf of the custom knifemaking/collectors comunity!!Well done David
