Tom Leschorn!
Hi all!
Raindog's Thread on the Off-Topic forum entitled: "Hey Moosehead!", gave me the excuse to post some photos of an incredible Randall "Little Bear" Bowie (#12-6) which I was fortunate to see on exhibition at this year's blade show. I failed to ask the owner's name, but the gentleman was kind enough to let me take some awfully poor photos (not enough light) of this truly unique and rare beauty. I believe the engraving on the hilt and butt, as well as carvings the wood (not sure what kind), and the fabulous ivory inlay carvings of a Bull Elk and Moose were the artistry of the late and famous Tom Leschorn. I hope you all agree that this Randall is something special! There's a similar knife with a Mountain Goat and Moose Head (not mine) pictured on page 143 0f the late Pete Hamilton's book: "The Randall Chronicles". Please show us your example's of Tom's work, if you are lucky enough to have any. Cheers! Moosehead __________________ It takes less effort to smile than to frown !
