BG-42 as a large blade

will BG-42 be acceptable as a larger blade, say an 8" bowie blade?

why, or why not?

I make a 7" field knife that is basically a bowie and I think very highly of BG-42 in that application. The arguments for or against using BG-42 in that application would be the same as for any other stainless steel. In my opinion, if you're going to use stainless for a bowie the BG-42 would be one of the top choices ...
