Forge and press for sale
I have come to a point where I need to get rid of a couple of items.
Before reading this you need to know that I am located just east of Dallas, TX and the items will need to be picked up at my shop. I have a Johnson forge, model 120. It looks like the blue one in this photo (without the Control system beside it) If you know anything about Johnson forges, you know they are very expensive when new (something crazy like $3000 or so). Mine of course is used, and not in new condition. It could use a repair to the castable inside. I was going to completely recast it but have not done so. I will give a bag of castable to whomever buys it (if I can find it). Currently running and can be demo'd. Needs painted. Great for damascus, used it for the damascus in the rr spike knife in the current issue of Knives Illustrated. The fan motor has been rebuilt at a cost of just shy of $200. Model Number 120 Pedestal Firebox Dimensions (Inches) 5 X 7-3/4 X 13-1/2 Overall Dimensions (Inches) 19-1/2 X 22 X 48 Door Opening (Inches) 5 Hearth Size Work Area (Inches) 7-3/4 X 13-1/4 X 5 Gas Connection (Inches) 3/4 Pipe size Gas Input 90,000 BTU/hr Approx. Weight 216 lbs $500 25 Ton Hydraulic press I built this myself, it is very heavy and has a 5" cylinder. Here is a picture of it Bob's press link There is a small hydraulic leak around the seal. There is a $25 rebuild kit available for it but I have used it over a year with the leak without problems. It is wired 220V and has a foot operated actuator (like the old sewing machines) to raise and lower the ram. I would suggest replacing the filter as part of the setup at your place. No dies will be sold with this press, sorry. $750 I also have a 16' trailer with wood floor and new tires. $600 (great if you buy the other two items) Tool Box. Rousseau brand. More heavy duty than Craftsman. Here is a link to a similar box. Mine is a little larger than this one. Mine is 32" tall, 36" wide and 18" deep. Mine has six drawers, 2-3" drawers, 3-4" drawers and 1-8" drawer. Has bearing slides and is in great condition. Have the dividers for the drawers and ONE key. Notice their price. $600 Just e-mail me at bob@warnerknives.com or call 214-794-9005 during reasonable hours. I may have a few other items you might like if you come to look at either of these items and we can make a deal on the spot. Gear reducer for making a rolling mill. Couple of squirrel cage fans (exhaust for your shop) Track lights (spots) that are great for shining on your grinder from several angles to eliminate shadows. NO, my KMG is not for sale. |

Bob, I'm glad to hear from you once again, I've wondered what had become of you! Last I heard you were in the Eastern US doing some clean up. I know you can't be getting out of knife-making! Hope all is ok with you and yours. Was hoping to see you in Austin last month. Did run into Geno, but no Bob.

Thanks Robert.
Just trying to survive. Other things take priority right now. I can always make this stuff again later but need cash right now to take care of some pressing issues (#### Doctors). Anyway hopefully some of this will be of interest to someone here. After over two years of no work and some medical issues that could not wait for insurance, I need to liquidate to some extent. The prices are fair and hopefully these things will sell quick. I also have for sale a two gallon bucket of these of all sizes. They are loose in the bucket and some are broken but there is about a bazillion of them. $25 |

Hello Bob,
Have you sold the press yet? I just found this post today and may be interesed in the press. You said it's wired for 220, is that 3 phase or single. I live in Dallas and will probably give you a call soon. Regards, Mark Lee |
