Camillus Question

With Camillus being out of business what is this going to do to their value? I picked up a Camillus Heat 3.50 today for $28.00 NIB. Bought it because I liked the tanto style blade and the price seemed good. Later found out the prices are usually $20 more. Do I keep it in the box or use it? I mean do I keep it in the box and therefore more in a collectable condition or what?

Darrell Ralph designed the Heat - he'd be the best one to ask.

BTW, that was a pretty good price for a very nice knife!

Thanks for the response. Guess it is a user. Will keep it in the box until my Kershaw wears out.

Darrell does hang out here from time to time, but he also has his own web site. He's also partners in knifekits.com. He can be reached through either of those web sites or through the private messages on here. Very nice guy and amazing designer.

Sounds like a more of a collector item than a user. But that's my 2 cents.
