Lets see those Leschorn knives!

Tom Leschorn has been credited for creating approximately 218 knives, including about 70 of them that Gary Clinton himself owns. That leaves nearly 150 in private collections.

If you have them, lets see how many we can come up with!

I have a few, Bill. Here are three 3's. All "Low S", which puts them very early into Tom's association with Bo (Circa '64):

I have a 2-5 with a "miniature" handle, which makes it look like a short sword, as well as a Model 22, but I have not taken any pics yet.

Best, Ron

Very nice, Bill. If memory serves, Mitchell once owned a Model 4 with a checkered grip and an inset diamond in ivory similar to yours.

I think it would be safe to say that mine started out as a Denmark's Sporting Goods piece, considering the red & white spacers.

Hard to say for sure, but it's a great 3 in any event.

Nice! I guess I'll have to dig out my camera and see if I can get a decent pic of my 2-5. To be continued....

Here's the 2-5 I mentioned next to another 2-5 for handle size comparison. The black and white spacers together with a pinned butt are a pretty good tell. I'm not sure if the handle is ebony or rosewood.

Here's the Model 22 I mentioned:

Looking forward to seeing your 2-6.

A PS: Note also the blade grind differences between the two 2-5's.

He put his initials in the ivory inserts in my two Low S models. I'll see if I can get a close up pic.

I have a few pics of some other of Tom's knives as follows:

Here were Tom's charges for his work in 1988:

I don't have any knives to contribute, but those are some awesome knives. Thanks for posting them Ron and Bill.
Tom was a gifted artisan in wood and metal!
Thanks for posting them.

The only thing rarer than this being a Tom Leschorn custom, is that it is one of approximately a dozen Model 7-3.5" made!
