Model 14 with Oosic Handle

Something you don't see everyday is a Randall Made Knives Model 14 with an Oosic handle!

Contrary to what has been said in the past, this material makes for a beautiful custom handle.

I also have this Model 14 Solingen "KIT" blade that has been built with all stainless steel furniture and a piece of Oosic that came directly from a friend in Russia.

I'm not sure what oosic is... google is a friend I guess. But I like the desert leopard spot cammo look. What drew you to oosic with the blank Solingen blade? Instead of...

I rarely lust after newer knives, though they do look real pretty now and again ... But this was posted a few years ago and I still think it the perfect desert knife. I would buy this one...even if "new."

Not sure I'm up for this, ...but what does it feel like? Heavy, dense or lighter and airy like balsa wood? Feel warm like wood or cold like ivory/delrin? Rough grainy or smooth? Never seen it. Thanks.

So . . .were you the buyer??
It didn't get much action but it did sell.

It makes a solid handle material Jack. I've only handled it on a few Randall Knives and have never handled it in the rough....so to speak. And Bill you say Oosic makes a beautiful custom handle.....as long as you're not the Walruse giving it up.
