Latest Engraving....

I haven't been here in a while...with some photos and latest work.
Sorry for that!
Just finished this one and thought folks would like to see. I have more and they will be coming later. Thanks for your support....there is some really nice art work all accross the internet now. I suppose there is no excuse for not taking advantage of all the good things.
Jim

Joe...
Good to hear from you.
The knife is one of those manufactured Lake tail locks. Don Guild sells these for around $300.00 and I am not sure how many he has left. The quality is OK and for some folks it will be as close as they get to a Lake knife. The knives are a little tight on opening and closing....but with a little work and fine oil you can get them to work just fine. This is the 4th one I have engraved and so far no problem with the hardness of the steel. Before you ask....I believe these are made in China. Thanks for the note and question and I will see you in Statesboro in a few weeks.
Jim...
if you have any more question just ask.

Jim, when you do engraving it is beautiful------I don't care whether the base object was made in China, West Outer Space, or wherever!!! You change the normal to the collectable, not an easy accomplishment! If you can ever make it up here, you'd be welcome----Sandy

Jim, you have done work on lots of less-than-perrfect knives (I know first hand), and you always make them better!

Jim you really make the knife become more than just a piece of craftsmanship, you make it become a piece of art.
Thanks for sharing.
