Then again I have quite a few knives that are 1/4", I don't think anyone would call a Randall model14 in 1/4", a sharpened prybar,If done properly on the right diameter wheel 1/4" stock can make just a fine a knife as 3/16" can.And for extreme combat conditions, that extra steel could be helpful.Weight would be the only real factor.

I'd like to see the TRAK necker done in a different material.

While I like the D-2, the knife's price point is a little steep for quantity purchase, and the D-2 isn't 'stainless', so a non knife person would probably ruin it right away.

I'd like to purchase several of this style for my crew, but the D-2 is preventing me from that. It is a perfect shape for general utility.

What about using 440C or even 154-CM?
