I'm in my 60's too.

I make knives as a profitable hobby, but not full time. I live in an apt and have my grinder on a cart so I can take it outside to grind. I need to finish the guard for an oyster shucker and sand down the handle, but its about 20 outside so I'll wait as it supposed to warm up into the 40s Mon.

I certainly understand why you think what is coming out of Nashville is mostly not Country and Western music. A lot of it back a few years ago I told my ex it sounded like 60s and 70s pop music like the Partridge family or something. She didn't like real c&w for the most part said it was too twangy!??!

It's a personal design, it's for my Dr. It has a rounded tip and a hollow grind on one side and a convex grind on the other so it will be good for oysters and clams as well, the hollow grind side is for cutting the meat loose from the shell. It is .156 thick and has a rather large round handle. I'll put a picture up when I'm done with it.

It has indeed been a long time T.
Dad (Sandy) just isn't getting on the 'putor much any more. He came over to my Hammer-in at Trackrock both days but couldn't stand the crowds for long. He's still hanging tough, but not doing leather anymore - said if he can't do it right he's just not gonna. Still go his eye on the ladies though.
Talked with Paul at the Blade Show back in June for a bit. You know him always on the run. Looked good.
Glad to see you back.

Hey, Tom, good to see you back. I also don't hang out on the computer much these days, and it's mostly to answer questions when they come up.........and I happen to know the answer.

I am slowing way down also although I still manage about two or three orders a week. You know I'm exactly 10 years behind Sandy and he's 93 as of last April 16th.

Paul

I've kinda been away from this forum for a while - and I can't really give a good reason. Life gets crazy sometimes!
