Belt Conversion Kit for 6x12 Surface Grinder

For sale is a belt conversion kit including contact wheel I built for a 6x12 surface grinder such as grinders made by harbor freight, grizzly, Enco, or equivalent. Belts can be 2x48 or 2x72. This one runs very smoothly and has an integrated belt tracking adjustment and belt changes are a breeze with the integrated spring. I had Contact Rubber Corp. build the 95durometer serrated wheel to fit the grinder. Price is $350 obo plus shipping for the contact wheel and belt attachment to surface grinder. Come by and pick-up if you're in the Dallas area as I just relocated from San Antonio. Surface grinder is not included. If you need to quickly and accurately flatten billets or handle slabs this is the way to go.

Listed below are the contact wheel specs:

Wheel Outside Diameter with Rubber tread Facing: 7" OD Contact Wheel

Wheel Hub Outside Diameter: 5.5" OD excluding rubber contact wheel tread face

Wheel Tread rubber Thickness: 3/4"

Wheel Face Width: 2 inches (both exterior metal and rubber tread face)

Wheel Face material: 95 durometer Shore A rubber hardness (capable of surface grinder duty temperatures)

Wheel Face Type: Face serration (2:1 Land to Valley)

Wheel Face Surface Shape: Flat (not crowned) with sharp/square corners (not radiused)

Wheel dynamically balanced to run true

Contact Wheel Hub Material: Aluminum

Hub Axle (bore) Inside Diameter: 1.250" (No Bearings or keyways - Bore may be +0.001 as tolerance)

Hub width at recess: 0.500"

Hub Recess Depth: 0.750" on both sides

Surface Grinder Spindle Speed/RPM Rating: 3,700 RPM

Why do people use this -vs- a standard grinding wheel?

Hello,
I am interested in the kit. Trying to convert my HF Surface Grinder to belt & interested in how you did it. Would it be possible to get some more detail photos of the conversion? Thank you
