Trackrock Spring Hammer-in! Ye Haa

Does anyone see any conflicts with an April 26th and 27th tentative date for the shindig??

Hey Guys,

I just got an e-mail from the owners at Trackrock and they are very happy to have a Spring gathering at the campground again. They are a great bunch of folks and the place is just perfect for a knife event. They even have a fish pond right near the area we used last fall. Try to fit this into your schedule if at all possible.

The date that I used is just a tentative date, I dont see any reason why the first w/e in May wouldnt be possible. We'll see how things go.The folks at the campground dont need much advance notice unless people want to reserve a group of sites together.

Mark,
Disregard my post on the Blade Forum (had trouble getting on CKD yesterday). Pretty flexible here but we'll need a head count fairly soon as trout season starts around the first of April and will be in full swing as the days warm up towards May. Might get crowded fast at TR on the weekends. I'd suggest everyone make their reservations as soon as we get a date set, just to be safe.
Sounding better by the minute!

MMMMMMMMM Trout!!!

I think I'm going to spend the whole week down there this spring prior to the hammer-in. I'll bring my bayoo classic deep fryer.

I've posted this on BF but I'll do it here also.

Rob Frinks has expressed interest in bringing down some grinders for us to try out at the hammer-in. I've been drooling over his grinders since I first saw them.

I agree Carl, I guess we should firm up on a date soon.

Let the good times roll!

I love these events that take place in my back yard! It was a great event last fall and I'll bet this will be even better! How can I help? Sady

Yes! count me in!

I'll be glad to set up a few grinders that can be used by all through out the weekend.

I'm happy to contribute any way that I can.

Sincerely,
Rob

Hey Birdog4,
You'll be OK, you can hide right in the middle of the flock. Just trim your beard and wear a ballcap noone will be able to pick you out of the crowd! Just kidding......purrrrrup, purrrrrup, put.
The season used to crank up in May but I haven't hunted them in years since my Pop passed (it was a special thing for us). I can check the dates, but you can find out on the Georgia DNR web site for all the regs. I'll probably hit the Nottely River for a few trout myself.
Mark - sounds like we're picking up speed and volume. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!
All you guys interested need to kick in some dates and we can try to accomodate the majority. First or second weekend in May suits me.

If no one has any objections lets go ahead and nail this down to the first w/e in May.....going once, going twice......

Hey Carl, I see you posted this in the N.C guild section, thanks. I hope they will consider making this an official guild event. I wonder if James (pop)Poplin would be interested in coming .
