Need help to Identify
I am looking for information on a carving set, Knife, Fork and steel.
handles with what appears to be walrus ivory, with small silver plate reading "M. Price Sanfran" Not familiar with this maker, any suggestions would be a great help. Thanks MIke __________________ "I cherish the Hammer of Thor, but I praise the hand of God" |

Michael Price is one of the most sought-after early SanFrancisco makers. If what you have is genuine, hang on to it. It's worth a bundle.

Mike,
You *need* to contact Bernard Levine, who is the undisputed authority in assessing knives of this sort. As Don said, this is a real find. Please keep us posted. Coop |

Here is a link to page that has some Price knives. Check the maker's mark and see how it matches up to the ones on your carving set.
