PLEASE help someone who knows nothing about knives!

Hello! I would like to buy a knife for a friend. The problem is that I know NOTHING about knives. I would like to get a high quality piece, preferably under $225. I know it is to be a folding knife, all metal, with a locking mechanism or liner lock, and one handed opening capability. If possible one with some pretty silver or enamel inlay on the handle. I know he would prefer something purely functional, but it is a gift from me, so I would like it to look good. Would someone please steer me in the right direction? I've been surfing the web and have been inundated with way too much information, so a personal recommendation would be wonderful. I would greatly appreciate your help.
